COLUMNS AND FEATURES:

Wrote regular columns and features on health and wellness for The Balanced Life Magazine, 1998-99 (Circ. 25,000). A dozen+ features for other publications, on a variety of topics. Most recent articles for Military History Quarterly (Circ. 30,000), Boy's Life (Circ. 1,400,000), Cats Magazine (Circ. 130,000), InFlight.

REVIEWS AND CRITICISM:

I have published more than twenty reviews and critical articles in newspapers, literary magazines, and scholarly journals, including The Vancouver Sun, The Province, Canadian Literature, The Literary Half-Yearly, Studies in Canadian Literature, Brick, The Fiddlehead, and Event, of which two articles are reprinted in Contemporary Criticism (Gale Research). I have also broadcast criticism and commentary on CBC Radio.

POETRY AND FICTION:

I have published poetry in five full books and four chapbooks, in numerous north American literary magazines, and on national radio broadcasts. An adaptation of my book Franklin and McClintock was produced for CBC radio. I have published several short stories, winning The UBC Alumni Chronicle Creative Writing Award and The Sir Charles G.D. Roberts Short Story Prize. I was a short-list Alternate for a Canada Council Arts Grant and runner up for the Norma Epstein Award. I have given many readings of my work in public and on radio. Short stories in The Goblin Muse (E-Zine), Gothic.net, and Boy's Life.
